GOOD BUT FRAGILE THINGS:
OPEN CALL FOR ART
OPEN CALL FOR ART
Community arts organizers WHIMSYHAUS & ART BAZAAR are thrilled to announce a collaborative interdisciplinary exhibition and live immersive experience centered around the creative prompt: “Good But Fragile Things.”
We invite the community to both witness and contribute to an exploration of the things worth having, holding, doing, or experiencing—despite the vulnerability that comes with their fragility.
The culminating event will take place on Saturday, November 7, hosted at Hollywood Art Lounge. The day's event include debuted visual arts, live musical performances, and immersive projections during the evening's titular event, while also celebrating two major releases oriented around community work: The opening of a 3-month physical gallery exhibition, and the debut of an artifactual experience zine.
ANCHORING CONCEPT
The things we choose to love, create, protect, experience, or preserve—despite their instability, impermanence, or unpredictability. The pursuits, conditions, or relationships we consider worthy of the pain, grief, or complexity that comes with their fragility.
We invite you to explore the relationship between value and vulnerability, channeling your personal interpretation into your work.
